It is estimated that 3.2 Billion Users worldwide using Google Chrome. Extensions on Chrome take the web browsing experience to a new level offering some quirky features which will save you tons of time.
Best Chrome Extensions List For Day to Day Use:
1. URL Render:
This is my favourite chrome extension which comes in very handy when you want to see more than one result from the google search results. URL Render simplifies that and it enables you to see the content for multiple URL's on the same results page itself.
Just hover the mouse over to the link and it automatically loads the page there.
Believe me once you used to this, you will never go back!
2. Picture In Picture:
If you are kind of person who wants to watch video content whilst working on some other project on the same time. Even though this feature is available on mobile devices but not available on the desktop. So this extension helps you to solve this.
Once you are on the Video streaming site, just Click on the Picture in Picture extension it will instantly create a floating screen. Then you can switch back to other tabs/application without interrupt watching the video.
3. Black Box:
We might all know the social media sensation "Project Naptha" extension which copies text from images. But sadly that didn't worked note even a single time for me. After that I started researching for a similar tool and found this gem of a extension called "BlackBox".
It does the job same as Naptha but with 100% accuracy another feather in the cap is it can detect text from video files as well, Awesome isn't it. Try it for yourself, you wont be disappointed.
4. Loom - Screen Capture:
After tried so many screen capture extensions/software, I found "Loom" ticking all the check boxes.
You can use it for a casual screen capture as well as professional level.
The feature I like the most is you can use your web camera and add your face at bottom of your presentation. It is a very useful feature for most of the content creators. You can embed the recordings to your blog/website.
5. Dark Reader:
If you are a night owl like me then this is a must have extension. Working/browsing through internet on the night can be very tough to the eyes and it will cause many eye related issues in the future. To avoid this dark reader enables dark mode almost on all websites.
You can further customize the settings according to your wish.
6.Similar Sites:
As the name suggests "Similar Sites" gives you the list of relevant sites to the one that you are currently on. It will help you reference the details on some other website who are offering the same details.
As per my testing the accuracy is 60-70%. It wont give you out and right relevant websites on some categories but comes very close.
7. UBlock Origin:
"U-Block Origin" is the must have extension in general to ensure the minimum safety while browsing. It blocks most of the unwanted stuff from the websites and gives us the clean browsing experience. In the Product page it says its not an Ad-Blocker but it does the job better than most of the popular ad blockers out there.
In my testing period it does eliminate most of the annoying things you find in a website surprisingly i never seen a ad while watching Youtube videos with this extension enabled.
Another great thing about this extension is it super lightweight.
Really hoping you found atleast one useful extension from the list. Please let me know your favorite extension in the comments :)
